New Faces on Board at SeniorTrade

We are pleased to announce the addition of two amazing women to the SeniorTrade brain trust, Wenona Kimbro as Associate Editor and Helen Foster as Advisory Board Member.

Wenona is passionate about life quality for seniors, and writes on this topic from a broad intersectional perspective. As Associate Editor, Wenona Kimbro will take a deep dive into the issues driving innovation in senior living and aging well. She is also heading SeniorTrade's Trends & Predictions Report--stay tuned!

She has an MFA in creative writing from Pacific University, preceded by a BA in applied linguistics from Portland State University. Wenona’s writing regularly draws on her professional background in caregiving, memory care support, dis/ability support, mental health care coordination, and advocacy for individuals with intellectual disability.

Wenona has matrilineal blood ties to the Cherokee, Choctaw, and Chickasaw tribes, and is interested in learning from tribal models for aging well. She also brings an LGBTQ+ lens to her work, informed by both educational and personal experience.

Helen Foster joins the SeniorTrade Advisory Board to guide the direction of our content and share insights and inspiration.

Helen launched Foster Strategy, LLC in 2008, and as principal and lead consultant, she collaborates with a select group of clients to envision and execute wholly new approaches to community development and resident life. Helen’s clients include some of the nation’s most innovative community developers and operators, including Rancho Mission Viejo and Willow Valley Communities – organizations with which she has been affiliated since 2004 and 1996, respectively.

She maintains a specialty in age-qualified (55+) development, and she is Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Lifestyle Residential Development Council. She is also Vice President of the Board for Willow Valley Communities and Co-Chair of the Global Wellness Institute’s Wellness Real Estate & Communities Initiative.
